Dear Subscriber, Last year, The New Yorker launched its first crossword puzzle in decades. Since then, we’ve published a new puzzle every Monday. We also ran a special series of themed puzzles at the end of 2018, marking the year in language, movies, music, politics, and literature, and celebrated the magazine’s ninety-fourth birthday with a New Yorker-themed puzzle, which appeared both in print and online in February. More than fifty puzzles later, we’re delighted to announce a new arrival: the Weekend Crossword. In addition to the puzzle we run every Monday, you’ll find a new crossword every Friday morning at newyorker.com. The Weekend Crossword should take a little less time to solve than the weekday edition: the perfect way, we hope, to ease into Saturday and Sunday. To help with the Weekend Crossword, two new puzzle constructors, Erik Agard and Aimee Lucido, will join our all-star roster: Patrick Berry, Kameron Austin Collins, Elizabeth C. Gorski, Natan Last, and Anna Shechtman. Sign up for the Crossword Newsletter to get notified each time a new puzzle becomes available, and be sure to log in to save your progress while you play. |
